THE THEOLOGICAL &
FAITH STANCE OF OUR
CONGREGATION

Membership consists of "people of faith" but from varied backgrounds of religious expression. As covenant members they have adopted the UCC Statement of Faith as an affirmation of their Christian practice. The church body grows in faith and practice accepting a progressive vision of mainline UCC churches: guided by the following Bgraphics/aw Articles IV and V amended January 1994.
Article IV. STATEMENT OF FAITH:
We believe in God and Man. We believe the relation between God and man is best defined and exemplified in the life and character of Jesus Christ.
We accept the Bible as sufficient rule of faith and practice, and believe that each member of this church has the right to follow the word of God according to the dictates of his or her conscience.
Article V. COVENANT:
Bound together as a Christian Church, and depending, as did our forefathers, upon the continued guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead us, we covenant together to walk in all our ways according to the rule of the Gospel in mutual love and respect to one another, to strive to carry out the teachings of Jesus Christ, and to the love the Lord our God with all our hearts and our neighbors as ourselves.
EDUCATIONAL MISSION
The educational mission of the church is to provide, for persons of all ages, opportunities and experiences that foster learning and growth in faith, emphasizing how these relate and become meaningful personally as one meets the challenges of everyday Christian living.
