Diaconate

The Deacons are responsible for the spiritual health of the church.

They serve our congregation by assisting the Pastor and the Director of Music with worship and special services, preparing and serving Holy Communion, supporting Christian education and faith formation, and caring for those who are in special need, ill in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, or shut in at homes or in residences.

The Deacons assist the Pastor with the admission of new members and aid their integration into the life of the church. In the case of a ministerial vacancy, the Deacons insure the continuity of ministerial and lay coverage.

Give Plants

Many of us enjoy giving sanctuary flowers in memory or honor of loved ones. Since that isn’t possible during the pandemic, in the interim, the Deacons have created an opportunity to donate plants. You can read all of the details on this page about giving plants.
