The Cabinet voted unanimously on July 14th to invite us to phase in with a first Outdoor Service on Sunday, August 2nd, at 10:30 am, dependent on the weather. We hope it will be a Communion Service, but will keep you informed.
If you expect to attend — that being after your own personal decision — please contact the Secretary by the Thursday before the service at 3:30 pm so we can obtain your name and a head-count. On Friday, we will email bulletins, which you should print out and bring with you.
In the case of inclement weather, emails about cancellation of the service will be sent out on Friday to those, who have already reserved chairs and bulletins (by Thursday), and an invitation to Virtual Worship will be offered. (See detailed information here.)
Before coming to the service, please take your temperature; if you feel ill, stay home. Remember that even if you do not have a temperature, you may still carry the virus.
Wash your hands, bring your bulletins and wear your masks. The latter is required!
On campus, please walk to the church’s front lawn, where a table will be set for you to pick up a pre-packaged Communion containers and offer your pledge/contribution, folding chairs will be set 6 feet apart for you to sit, and the front entrance will be reserved for a worship leaders.
The lavatory in the Elliot Room will be available only from its back door.
During the service, if you have a question or concern, please raise your hand and a deacon will try to aid you.
Following the service, please clean up after yourself and leave directly for your car or ride. There will be no fellowship hour.
If you have any issues, please speak to Pastor Dianne, Lead Deacons DeeDee Dyer and Lynn Carver, or call the Secretary in our “office.” Let us be prayerful as we move to this outdoor service, which is dependent on God and the weather!
